Each year the Alaska MS Center strives to provide a variety of social programs geared toward fun, education or simply a time to interact socially or enjoy all that life has to offer.
To partake in the Railroad Adventures at 1/2 price, please fill out the necessary paper work provided by the Alaska Railroad, found here. (Access the page, then scroll down to DISCOUNTED FARES where you’ll find links to the appropriate PDF’s.)
Common Adventures with the Alaska MS Center are outdoor or indoor activities , scheduled during the summer and winter breaks to get people out exercising and socializing with family and friends. There are usually NO FEES to participate in these events, however, an occaissional parking fee , or participant fee MAY apply.
Some “common adventures” start at locations with a State Park $5 Fee for parking. Please check before you go .
Cars with the Annual State Parks Pass: http://dnr.alaska.gov/parks/asp/passes.htm, get unlimited use at State Park parking lots without paying on site.
These unguided experiences provide life-enhancing recreational opportunities for individuals and family members who experience similar limitations, helping to reduce stereotypes, raise awareness, and empower people to realize their full potential while enjoying life .
